2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
I use the FJC as my daily driver and also quite a bit for work activities with Two Springs. It is my 'more comfortable' exploration rig and I've added modifications that tailor this rig more to overland travel and exploration.
- 4x4 (of course!)
- Rear locker and ATRAC (off-road traction control)
- 3" Old Man Emu suspension lift

- 295 75 16 Nitto Terra Grappler all terrain tires
- Demello hoop front bumper
- Warn M8000 winch
- Cobra 75 WX ST CB
- SPOT Emergency GPS
- Garmin Road GPS - typical little unit
- EdgeStar 43 qt fridge/freezer
- 48" Hi-Lift with Demello roof rack mounts
- Homebrew rear storage with two drawers and additional storage area
- Axe and shovel mounted with two pairs of Quick Fists
- 5 lb fire extinguisher mounted with a Quick Fist
- CO2 inflation system
- Various recovery gear including D shackles and straps
- Full tool kit
- First aid kit

- Survival gear including food, water, clothing, and backpack
Future Improvements
- Homebrew roof rack light bar mount
- New tires - considering BFG KM2s or BFG MTRs
- Off-road GPS navigation with tablet and external GPS receiver
- Mini fire extinguisher to keep up front. We used our last mini extinguisher on a vehicle fire we came upon and haven't been able to find a replacement as of yet.
- Steel rear bumper - so the next Honda Element will think twice about rear ending me without insurance...
